URHS New York Central Hickory Creek and Tavern-Lounge No. 43 spend the month of December on the road as part of Operation Toy Train! Operation Toy Train is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates a special annual collection train in northern New Jersey and southern New York during the first two weekends of December. Each year, the train collects over 30,000 donated toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation, which redistributes them to underprivileged children within the collection area.

This year, Operation Toy Train collected 31,819 toys!

The Hickory Creek and 43 served were used to carry dozens of volunteers and Marine Corps Reservists along with the train, as it made stops throughout New Jersey and New York.
